Upholstery cleaning is a deep wash for the furniture you sit on every day. It lifts out the dirt, body oil, and pet hair that settle deep into fabric where a vacuum cannot reach. Most people call it couch cleaning or furniture cleaning. It is the same service. If your couch looks dull, smells like the dog, or shows dark spots on the arms and cushions, it is ready for a real cleaning.

What kinds of furniture do we clean?

Almost any piece with fabric on it. Sofas, couches, loveseats, and big sectionals. Recliners and armchairs. Dining chairs with fabric seats. Ottomans, benches, and fabric headboards. If you are not sure about a piece, ask us and we will tell you straight.

Is upholstery cleaning safe for every fabric?

Yes, when the method matches the fabric. That match is the whole job. Sturdy fabrics like polyester, nylon, and most microfiber take a deep steam cleaning well. Delicate fabrics need a gentler touch, with less water and milder products.

We check the tag, test a hidden spot, and pick the method from there. The wrong method can shrink fabric, fade color, or leave water rings. That is why furniture cleaning is never a one-setting job.

How does couch cleaning work?

It works in four simple steps. First we look over the piece and note the fabric and any problem spots. Then we vacuum out loose dirt, crumbs, and hair. Next we pre-treat stains and heavy soil. Last comes the deep cleaning, which flushes the fabric and pulls the dirty water back out.

You do not need to do anything before we arrive except clear small items off the furniture. We bring everything else.

Can cleaning remove pet hair and odor from furniture?

Yes, in most cases. Pet hair and dander work their way deep into cushions, and a normal vacuum only gets the surface. Our cleaning pulls hair, dander, and the oils that hold odor out of the fabric.

We are honest about the hard cases. If urine has soaked deep into the cushion foam, fabric cleaning alone may not remove all of the smell. We will tell you what to expect before we start, and pet treatment is priced as its own step.

Will cleaning fix a sun-faded couch?

No, and we will not pretend it can. Cleaning removes soil. It does not bring back color the sun has taken. Strong Florida sun through a window or lanai slider fades fabric over time, and that change is permanent.

Here is the good news. Many couches that look faded are really just dirty. Trapped soil dulls the color, and cleaning brings it back. We can usually tell you which one you have before we start, so you never pay to chase fading that will not move.

How often should furniture be cleaned?

About once a year for furniture that gets daily use, and more often in homes with pets or small kids. Fabric holds dirt long before it looks dirty, and ground-in soil wears the fibers down faster.

A yearly furniture cleaning keeps the fabric brighter, cuts allergens like dust and dander, and helps a good couch last years longer. Lightly used pieces, like a formal dining set, can go longer between cleanings.
